The pre-day opening occasion ended with a night of celebrating alongside Donovan’s Yard at House of X located within the Public Hotel. Some were given rooftop access where visitors enjoyed ice cream and skyline views of the city. Guests were treated to drinks, bites, music performances and first-looks of the first three floors. On June 16, HBX held an intimate VIP preview event of the New York store. Other segments of the seven-floor building are designed as workspaces for Hypebeast’s employees. The third floor, which looks to amplify innovation and experiences, is well-positioned to host planned cultural events, pop-up shops and panels. This area houses seasonal products from OAMC, mastermind JAPAN, Acne Studios, Stone Island and more. On the second floor, patrons can shop and peruse through finely curated menswear, womenswear and lifestyle pieces from over 40 brands that include well-established labels and young emerging designers. Additionally, shop-goers can enjoy premium coffee and locally-sourced bites on this floor courtesy of the first-ever U.S. The section can easily turn into an event space, exhibition or a pop-up activation to bring a variety of communities together. The ground floor is designed to be a communal area or a neighborhood “courtyard” where customers can gather and shop.

Within its seven floors, the location will not only cater to shoppers but also house event spaces and act as office headquarters for the company’s employees. The new HBX NYC outpost also serves as a flagship building for other aspects of Hypebeast’s ongoing businesses and projects.
